Default Just read in the latest Quattro Quarterly that....

the V-10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo is going into the RS6 in 2006?? Also mentioned was a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 and a 3.2L turbo for the VR6.

When will the HP wars stop? (Not that I'm complaining!)

Interesting, should be about 2-3 years after the V-10 M5. Audi eclipses the competition again!!

Default V-10 M5 isn't gonna be out that much sooner...

v10 from gallardo....what are teh specs on that? keep in mind gallardo is a light car(raltive to RS6)...same engine might not work too too well in RS6 application unless tuned differently....

Default Gallardo Specs...

4961cc V-10
500 HP @ 7800 RPM
376 lbft @ 4500 RPM
Weight: 3300 lbs
0-60: 4.2 sec

You're right. It's going to need to be tuned for more torque if used in the RS6. And in the end may prove to be less tunable than the bi-turbo V8 since it's normally aspirated.

Default as is supsected....needs more torque...IMO keep the biturbo 8 and crank up the power...work on

improving the tranny. sheesh. if the gallardo gets to 60s in a not so impressive for an exotic 4.2S...the RS6 with V10 will be slower than teh biturbo V8 version...which would be dumb.

What about the bi-turbo version of that motor that is in the Le Mans?
