Just returned from UUC Driveline Stabilizer install @ AWE (m)
Thanks to Ben, Todd, Mike and co. at AWE for their hospitality and work this afternoon. Anyone in the Philly area should definitely stop in and see them.
The UUC DS went one pretty quickly, but there was a passenger-side downpipe rubbing issue which required two additional trips to the lift to fix. :-(
Initially, it _looked_ like there was going to be rubbing issue... and there was --so Todd and Ben played with the downpipe spring mount a little in an effort to buy some clearance. That wasn't enough, and they ended up adding a couple more washers to the trans mount to get some additional space. This worked fine.
I did a good bit of "testing" on the way home. The product works as advertised: driveline shudder formerly present on hard launches is gone and the trans feels generally "more solid". Now, if it were 30% cheaper, then I'd say it would be a bang-for-buck value too.
I think in retrospect, I could have gone with the urethane mount. I could easily put up with a little vibration (there's ~0 now) in exchange for more dampening.
Overall, I'm pleased with how the DS improved the "feel" of the car --I just wish the fitment had been a bit better.

My installer didn't read the instructions but I'm not too worried ;)
I decided to get one this afternoon and called Rick at Broadway Auto Clinic. He had one in stock and did a complimentary install. The drivetrain really does feel more buttoned down and the shifts are more precise. I have the original 20% UUC shifter, Rick's former Scorpion exhaust, and the stock chip. There were no clearance or fitment problems. It's a nice refinement.

had to add extra spacers on my transmission mount also, otherwise fine,
UUC knows of the problem, seems every S4 is a little different, I used a metric spacer, equal to about 4 1/2 washers, trick is to add washers so that when you tighten it down the stablizer doesn't move the transmission tail piece when you tighten it.
