K04 problem cutting out
hey guys im new to AW and sorry if this has already been posted but im having some issue that has been a real pain.
I have the AWE K04 kit along with the fueling kit and intercoolers, my car ran great right after the install for about a week and a half and then something is wrong
when i floor it
1st gear is fine all the way, i shift to 2nd and its gravy untill about 4200-4300 rpm when full boost hits it cuts out BAD. When in 2nd and i ease into it i can get it to 5000rpm ok but a bit boggy
so it had a check engine light on and we ran the vag on it and it said every cylinder but 1 and 6 was miss firing and we pulled the plugs and they were covered in black, and the gap was at .08 not where it should be those were the plugs that came with the kit. so i put rs6 plugs in and no check engine light now
but it is still doing the bogging/cut out around 4200rpm.
at first i thought it was a boost leak and so we pressure tested it and it held all the way to 90psi so i know its not that.
im stumped now, could it be a fuel filter the car has 84k on it and i doubt its been changed, or could it possibly be a case of bad gas?
I havent been driving it because i dont know exactly whats wrong
any advice would be great!

There is no need to go to 90 psi- you only need to test to what you run it too...
I cannot believe that it didn't pop something off at that level. I have a hard time keeping the test fixture on at over 25 psi without tie wraps around it.
Sounds like boost cut to me. Log 003 and 115 to in while doing a few third gear pulls and post the logs up on the site.
Do you have a boost gauge? If so what does it show when it feels "boggy".
