Default Why would he be joking? It's an honest question for someone relatively new to this...

Chris, the EGR [Exhaust Gas Recirculation] a valve used to reduce emissions by recirculation some of the exhaust back to the engine.

just that it was miss firing on every cylinder but 1 and 6 so we changed the plugs the check engine light is off now, but it still is doing the cut out at 3900 to 4200 like i said though if i ease into it than it goes past it with out cutting out.
and no boost leaks either

i dont have the real vag just a modis but if it is a boost cut what are the causes i should expect?
i can get it on a vag sometime next week. but my tech has a refresher course in tx next week

is taking a VAG refreshed course next week.

is he going to use sand to polish his intake next? haha

I figured it might be an old timer F*cking around.

Default There are a lot of things that can cause throttle cut (TC). Leaks, N75, etc...

I would just take it easy until you can get that Vag tool and so some logging.

BTW- it helps us all if you put your reply inthe subject line.
