Kinda OT but is it true if you got a plate from the DMV that says SLO S4 that someone else...
in a different state can get the same plate also saying SLO S4? Me and josh were arguing last night about it i say you cant he says you can.

LP's are unique in state only. If you know databases at all its what is called a compoud key which is unique using two values 1: LP #, 2: State. This is the same for Licenses.
When 5-0 runs your license of LP# they type in two things. The number and the issueing state.
