Kumho update #1 - 10 days on them... 400 miles...
Car - 2000 S4
Color - Imola/Onyx
Tranny - 6 speed
Mods - None
Rims- Stock Avus Rims 17x7.5
Tires - Kumho Ecsta 712 - 235/40/17
This Kumho $109 tire has yet to let me down... They excel in the rain... much reduced hydroplaning than the 040s. Now that I am past the break-in period with them I have begun to push them more... They have done everything I have asked, so far. Especially on dry pavement, hard cornering is right where it needs to be. They will squeal and give plenty of warning before breaking loose.
I will continue to update. As long as they don't fall apart prematurely, I may have found an inexpensive solution to attain 85-90% performance at 40% the Cost!

Unwilling to just blindly choose AVS Sports, just because Donp and Matthewk have them! :P
