Default FYI...

I loaded L code into a J box, and put it into my L box car. The box comes up in VAG as an L box, (good), but I get an intermitent CEL when I engage the parking brake, and the code thrown in both the engine and transmission modules is:

Intermitent: Implausible Signal from Brake Switch

Bummer. I own two chipped J boxes, but my car is a (stock) L box now.

I think ECU soft coding is the same, as are the adaptation values.

Any ideas from the PEB crew?

Default It is...

..but my new one is an '01.5 Avant. This is why I have two chipped J-Boxes (salvaged from the old car), and a stock L-Box (in the new car).

Default Actually... yes...

I have titanium components in one hip, and one (the other) femur. Otherwise, I'd have gotten an MT6 this first time 'round, too.
