Lidatek LE-30 arrived today... (comparison to ZR3)
Holy **** this thing is small!! I also have a passport ZR3 which I need to install in the other car. The ZR3 has TWO transponders, each one is over 2 times the size of the single transponder in the Lidatek kit. Same with the brains of each system. Lidatek is half the size. Another nice feature is the cord for the lidatek includes a connector a few feet off the transponder, so if you're removing the front bumper, you just unplug, and yank the bumper. With the passport, you would have to dismantle the transponders from the bumper before you could pull it away. The wire from the transponders goes through the engine bay and firewall and plugs directly into the brain. The only place where you can disconnect the wire is AT the brain.
The other difference is that the ZR3 comes with a full fledged display module, whereas the lidatek just has a single led (mount where you want), and a tiny speaker about the size of a quarter but thicker (obviously), and a little switch that you can mount anywhere you want (I wish they had used something that I could mount conveniently on my dash...this switch is a little industrial looking, so it will have to be tucked away and out of sight.
Now I have to find time to install these kits... :-/
[edit]
Forgot to add, all the pieces that plug into the brain have little connectors on them. It appears those connectors, once connected to the brain, will not release very easily (or not without mutilating the connector and cursing through the process). Considering everything else was so well thought out, I'm a little surprised they used these cheapie connectors.

Can't you use any switch? There are plenty of high tech. low key looking switches out there.

My install...I used a switch that was already in the car to turn the Lidatek and V1 on/off.
