local APR shop claims TIP 1/4 mile stock high 15s low 16s WTF is it true??

My first s4 was a 2002 tip and stage 2+ it ran.....
I had apr/rs4 intercoolers, apr bipipe, lltek intake, labree SS dp's with cats with milltek 3" catback, the chip was apr 100 oct v3.3 and I had 4 gals of 104 octane. The best I ran was 13.40 at 105.88. My first run when very heat soaked was a miserable 14.4 so a stock heat soaked tip may well be in the high 15's

I agree on the six spd but tip performance really does suffer.......
On my six spd with just a catback, chip(abt/ams on 104 octane) and short shifter I ran 13.1 at 108.33 That is a big difference and with far less mods. The temps were around the same (summer low 80's)
