Local TV station doing a Consumer Action piece on Faulty Audi Gas Guages. SF Channel 4 @ 6:00
One of those consumer editor goes out to get action pieces. I can see it now, a bunch of Audi owners went to Carlsen to get their gas guages fixed, Carlsen wouldn't do it, so this editor guy is probably going to call the Audi customer service line.
This should be a hoot.

The problem is on the A6...
The A6 has a fuel tank which has a raised middle section, maybe to allow for the rear drive shaft. The fuel level sensor is composed of three parts, a central sensor to detect the gas level on the raised portion and two other sensors in the lower sections that are connect to the main sensor. The additional two sensors are connected to the main sensor by male and female connectors that corrode in the gasoline and provide an incorrect tank level.
I saw this with the loaner that I was given, not impressed! Thankfully, the S4 has only one sensor and will not have this problem.
Baiano

- MTM ECU (...maybe...)
