Default You know not of what you speak.

Better research it, or I'll school you right here.

I kinda thought the same thing that it might limit air flow a little but I really have no idea. My opinion is that even if it does it would be worth the piece of mind of not destroying another turbo.

how are you securing it in place? sounds like a recipe for more FOD to me.

Default the less stuff in your intake system, the LOWER the odds of FOD

imo probably not a good idea.

there should be NOTHING that can get past your filter

Makes sense that nothing would make it past the intake but something did. Now I'm scrambling to find someone to repair or replace that turbo, and it being a hybrid is causing all kinda trouble. Anybody have some suggestions? I called a guy at www.turbos.com and he seems very knowledgeable. So far thats my best bet as everyone else is just asking for a part number and offering to call back but that would only get me a stock K04!!!!! FRUSTRATING

Nope, no hole in the MAF. LOL As far as labor, not installing both turbos, we squeezed the passenger side one out by taking out the motor mount and lowering the subframe a bit. No labor charge!
