Low temp Thermo-Switch for After-Run System
#2
Theoretical Answers...
There is no real answer... Some people have considered:
Bad for the battery. It will die sooner.
Bad for the afterrun pump. It will crack and dump your coolant.
Well, for the battery, if it's somewhat new, you'll be all good.
After run pump... well, people have said if it doesn't run it still breaks...
That's about it!

NO downsides imo.
i put it in last summer on my original batery (4 years old) and it's holding up well (and btw i am careful about using the power when the car is off-light are always off inside the car) .
i know of an s4 that had the after-run pump leak like crazy, and the lower temp switch was never installed in the car.
i really consider a turbotimer useless.. unless you wanna say "hey i have a cool turbo timer instead of the "poor's man thermo switch"..go ahead... get some bov's while you are at it.

May be a silly question ...
is it possible to add a switch in series with the sensor? Sometimes I feel like I'm running the pump to death when I have to do a lot of short trips in one day. I couldn't find any information on the duty cycle rating for the pump, but its probably fair to say it wasn't design to be operated for extended period of time.
