Default who are you telling.......

It drove me crazy calling all over (from work :] not on my phone) trying to find prices and make deals. Once it was over, I had a grin on my face all day.

I still turn the light on in the garage and take a look every once in a while. Don't you just love that new smell? Its like the car is an air freshener for my garage and a adrenaline for my body!.

Damn, I am about to leave work on go for a ride......I'm out of here!!!!

Default I hear that the 2001 M3 will go around $45k or a bit more

but good luck finding one! i'm sure there are ppl waiting to ****** those things up as soon as they arrive--or even before they arrive.

i saw this one eBay ad selling a waiting list spot for 10k. yup, 10000 bucks (with 16 bidders!). but who knows, that auction might have been a fraud.

well, i'm gonna order my S4 soon...and i must admit, the M3 is a nicer looking and probably better performing car, but heck, who cares. you can't even get that car. but the M3 has been my dream car for years now, and one day, i'll lay my hands on that sucka!

wooge

Default Yes sir....In TexAss. :) ............

You just have to watch out for all the Ford F-150s and Chevy 1500s with the Z71 off-road package. They'll run your a$$ over! Park Place Audi is the place that started my S4 for high.

Next time someone asks the S4 vs. M3 question, just paste that last paragraph. LOL!

Default Answers from someone was also considering these cars...

Both cars are awesome, you really can't make a wrong decision here. M3 is more of a true sports car in its stock form. New M3 will be faster, and handling is "sharper". Now....S4 has quattro, which means it will perform in all types of weather, not just dry pavement. S4 is more practical (if that matters to you) I have 2 little kids so practicality was a factor. Also, new M3 will be priced $10,000 more than S4. For $2500 in mods (chip & coilovers) you can easily tune up the S4 to out gun the upcoming M3 by a small amount in terms of speed and handling. Over the current M3, the S4 and a $600 chip will blow it away. Basically, if you want to stay stock and are looking for pure dry road performance, go with M3. If you want a more useful vehicle and/or are willing to tune it up little, S4 has far more potential.

Default S4 is better where M3 is weak; M3 is better where S4 is weak...

Default E36 M3 interior is indeed outdated. But with 2000 technology,

any newer car will have a better interior. For God's sake, look at those ugly 2000 Caddy's with the Knight Rider infrared vision or the 2000 S Class's PHENOMENAL stereo or the 2000 E38 740iL's
rear foot rests! The S4 succeeding the current model will probably have an even better interior than this one. Similarly, I have very little doubt that the E46's interior will be awesome.
As for comfort, the S4's very comfy ride may be attributed to the very high ride height. If you compare the 2 closely, the M3 rides at a much lower height (i.e., bumpy). Which is better? That all depends on personal preference. There is no correct answer.<p>Peter Y. Lee
