Master Cylinder Reservoir Questions
I had posted this on the a6 forum but did not get any answers - maybe this forum could assist.
Just completed a rear brake job on my a6 and all went well. Used ceramic pads and slotted rotors from ECS. Retracted the pistons using the proper tool designed for this style of caliper.
2 questions about the master cylinder reservoir:
1 - There are 2 yellow caps on the fill reservoir, one large and a small one requiring a screwdriver to remove. What is the purpose of the small one?
2 - Can the plastic screen seen under the large cap be removed so more fluid could be removed initially and I would not have to keep checking the brake fluid level as often to see if it is spilling over the reservoir as I retract the rear pistons into the caliper?
