MBC and n75 valve causing limp mode...

more on why all 3...
If you have just a TCD and MBC, then cruising w/ no boost is fine, and smacking the pedal down for wot will work fine, but you'll still have partial boost throttle cut. This is why running in parallel is preferred. Basically the N75 controls the part throttle boost up to where the diode (mbc) is set at. Boost above that is capped by the MBC. This allows for smooth partial boost driving as well as mbc controlled maximum boost. This is extremely nice for getting on the throttle carefully coming out of corners at the track. The N75 will ramp up the boost slowly for smooth acceleration.. once the boost passes the diode cutoff it will go up to whatever the MBC is set at (within physical capabilities of hardware setup)
MBC only with TCD is kind of an all or nothing experience, with partial boost throttle cut.

PiggieSmalls banter inside....
"Not quite correct, J. There is no partial boost TC with MBC only if you are on GIAC K03 stuff. That's why so many run MBC only and TCD with K03 X chip for homebrew setups. I've run MBC only and TCD on K03s, K04s, and K04/K16s without a hint of throttle cut while making all sorts of partial boost."

May be somewhat dependent on car as well. I've experienced it on 2 different S4s w/K03 and X chip.
Granted... that is somewhat of a small sampling though. Seems most prevelent on uphill/medium load situations.
