In the middle of rear wheel bearing install and cant get the rear rotor off the hub, is it just
rusted on or is there something holding it on? Also, do you have to take of the rotor sheild first to do this? Thanks alot.

It just comes off.
Once the caliper and carrier are removed the rotor should just come off. If it doesn't, it's more than likely stuck from rust. Simply tap the rotor with a mallet. You could also spray some penetrating oil between the hub and rotor to loosen it up.

1. Do what ryan says...put a lug bolt back in so the rotor doesn't fall
on your hand when it does eventually come off.
2. Tap the backside of the rotor (the swept area). The only area you can access it is right where the caliper WAS installed (you've removed the caliper and carrier by now). After each few hits, rotate the rotor 90 degrees, and give it a few more hits. Eventually it will pop out.
