Default Mintex red box brake pads...

The Mintex brake pads I installed in place in my oem pads, both front and rear, seem to stop my car well. The oem pads created a lot of dust on my wheels and the driver's front pads squealed. The Mintex pads have not dusted my wheels and the brakes are quiet. I had the oem pads on for about 1,000 miles and have had the Mintex pads on for almost 1,000 miles of street driving so both sets have equal amounts of use.

Does anyone know which pads last longer? OEM or Mintex red box. Thanks

What about the EEC green stuff break pads? They claim to be dust free. I know the front pads are out but the rears ones are supposed to be out shortly. Has anyone tried these?

Default I put the Greenstuff pads on my girlfriend's BMW 325IS...

Much less dust then the stock pads, and the dust is a grey color rather then black. Bite doesn't seem as strong as the stock pads until they warm up a little. I personnaly think the stock pads worked better, but with way more dust. I haven't really pushed her car so I can't comment on how well they handle high heat. I have literally smoked the brakes on my S4 on some twisty back roads and surprisingly they didn't feel mushy, but damn they sure stunk!

Default They are known to warp rotors

At least for E36 BMWs... the EBC Greenstuff pads warped rotors very quickly... that's why most E36ers use Pagid or PBR brake pads. PBR Metalmaster and Deluxe pads produce virtually no brake dust and perform very similar to stock (BMW OE = Pagid) pads. I'm not sure about the S4 Greenstuff pads, but I imagine they would be like the E36 pads.

Default I didn't know the EBC S4 front pads were out? Where?

I had been waiting for months until I just recently got the Mintex red box after 60k on the stock pads. have about 3k on the mintex and I like them alot.
