i have chrome on my nogaro and bruched on the wife's avant (white). I definately think the polished looks better. The brushed sometimes look paited.

not to be a metal nitpick, but Chrome is shiny plated Steel. Polished is shiny finish Aluminum...

Default I think the brushed ones do not stand out as much as the polished. What kind of grill do you have?
Brushed mirrors go well with an RS4 Grill and Polished mirrors with OEM. What I did was change the trim on my RS4 Grill back to OEM and bought some Polished mirror housings from the classifieds. Oh and how they match your wheels might matter also.

I've never seen brushed on nogaro, but I bet it looks better. I have polished.

I have the stock S4 grill now, but I would get the RS4 if I decide on the brushed mirrors.

Default I did the opposite : brushed RS4 mirrors and RS4 surround on S4 grill
