Modification regrets.
Anyone have them? The noobs could benefit from our experience in this area. Personally I regret getting the Borla exhaust, because it is just so freaking LOUD.

I regret wasting money on aftermarket DVs when I could just get 710Ns. ALso,
I regret getting GIAC-x initially because on 91 craptane it's not as smooth as AMS (yet AMS is just as fast).
Everything else good (Milltek 3", Strat short shifter, H&R coilovers, OZ superleggera wheels, Toyo T1S tires, Omori boost gauge).

I regret it all to some extent - it's a slippery slope
and when you go to get rid of the car it's like a deflated balloon, driving around a stock car that you've become accustomed to driving in modified form.
For me, the car is nothing special whatsoever stock. I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just my opinion. The lines are 10 years old. It's heavy and the power is nice, but nothing special. It's a has been. I would have to dump 10 grand into it to make it feel to me as it did years ago, when it was more new to me and had seemingly endless power. I can't just throw a chip in it anymore because then I know the turbos will need replacing. Then I'd be spending more money on it.
I realize all the money I've wasted on this car. I could have found a more inexpensive hobby that would at least provide me with some skill and more relevant useable knowledge. I think I'm going to stick to fishing next time and not play the game of pouring endless amounts of money trying to compensate for the money I had dumped into it prior.
But.... YMMV.
