Default More MTM spring details..

After a lot of heat gunning over at Jee's house I still had no luck controlling the rubbing on my car (I did run a throttle adaptation and recode my key fob thanks to Jee's cool software). Talked a lot to my tuner this morning and I think I am going for a set of coilovers so I can dial in exactly the ride characteristics that I want. During the spring only install (w/18x8.5 RXII w/ SP9000 225/40) these were the amount of drop he recorded, front 30mm, rear 6mm, and using a protractor he said the car was almost completely level. He added a degree of negative camber but I still rub. The ride with the springs is great, but I keep rubbing my liners and on screw that attaches to the fender lip (this is the part that makes me nervous). Good news is that these liners cost under $30. I just have to take it easy until the KWs come, and hopefully my VM2 will be here by then as well.

What tire size are you running? You shouldn't have a rubbing problem.

Default Kevin, perhaps the offset on your wheels is not right. I have MTMs too, (m)

with 17" MM Spiders-no rubbing.I would think that you would be able to go to a larger-diameter wheel as you did,if the caliper clearance is there,AND the offset is correct.I'm curious because I want to go to 18s myself. So, what's going on?
