More winter tire help
ok well I've been mulling over the options and apparently the only available choice (from Tirerack) for snow tires is to mount a set of Alpins at 215/45/17.
My new question is whether I could move to a set of all-seasons instead. This way I could run them November through March and be guaranteed dry weather performance. I was looking at the P7000s and would like to know if anyone has any snow experience with them. In reality Philadelphia only has about a weeks worth of snow through the entire winter. Will the compound on the P7000s not freeze and give me better braking? Or are they relatively useless also. My old 93 90cs wasn't even a quattro and she ran Yoko AVS-S4s and I recall stopping well.
thanks again
