Default MTM Chips

I plan to chip my 1993 S4 with a MTM chip, but have been given quite a few different views on how the car will perform.
The Audi dealer in Thailand has told me he can get 303HP using a set of 3 chips and that the RS2 manifold is not required.
Most other agents for MTM have told me 270HP or 280HP
The guy in Thailand also told me there are different chips for manual and automatic transmissions and they vary in gained BHP. Any comments from MTM chip users

Default well, since u have a manual trans. i heard very close to 300h.p. is what u would get w/MTM

but the RS2 manifold would really help matters. goto the Ur-S4 forum, they would really the story.

Default Re: MTM Chips

If you chip your 1993 I would strongly advise you to install the RS2 manifold. Cylinders 1 and 5 begin to overheat with the additional boost, and require the additional breathing capacity. I had a 1994 and can tell you that the ideal setup is a 3 bar boost map sensor and the MTM chipset which will give you about 270-280 horsepower. Joe Hoppen Motorsports - the distributor of MTM product in North America sold me that setup and strongly recommended that the manifold be installed.
