This muse may go into the "too much time on one's hands" file, but I was sitting next to a Jetta...
at a light today and noticed their side markers (blinkers on the front quarters) are clear with no etchings on the clear plastic in order to refract the light(kind of like the old A4 headlights before Xenon-now using a clear plastic lens cover versus etched). This, as opposed to our etched side markers. It seems the clear/non etched markers would compliment our non-etched xenon lens covers. Is anybody following me here? What I'm wondering is if the Jetta side markers fit the S4.

Nope but the ones from the new A4 do...and they look just like what you describe
you have to do a tiny little fender mod but it's worth it...the parts are like $24 from the dealer in Germany.
