My 6 speed is really difficult to shift into 1st or 2nd from a stop. Anyone else have this?

Join the club... The dealer change the viscosity of the tranny oil (lower), actually helped..
I am not saying this will help, but it did for me. Let the dealer look at it, if you have a trustworthy dealer, they will try to help you out. I don't know how long you have been driving your S4, but the shifter is different, takes some getting use to and it will work a litle looser thru the breaking in period. Then again, you probably know all of this if you have searched the forum. Lots of talk about this topic...

If 1st or 2nd won't engage while stopped with fully depressed clutch, try reverse. (m)
If this produces grinding of teeth, your clutch is not releasing fully. Check your brake fluid level, and bleed the clutch actuator.
