My friend's mom is buying an Infiniti I35...I personaly don't like infiniti...(m)
What do you guys think about this car which about $35,000? Any experiance with inifiniti brand? also please suggest other cars which around 35,000 to 45,000 price range! Thank you

the I35 is essentially a maxima...
It's closer to the maxima than the A4 is to the Passat.
But, it's FWD, safe, reliable, etc. etc.
My choice for someone interested in the I35 would be a Passat, or if they're interested in more flash, an A6.

Just looked at Passats and ended up with another Maxima for the wife
Just dumped our '00 MPV at yet another failed attempt at owning two German cars. Got to admit though the Maxima/I35 is a pretty good deal overall but resale value at 36mo is a few points less than the Passat. Having owned a '97 Max made it tougher to get the wife into the Passat anyway. Besides the Max is the ONLY car in 11 new cars I've purchased(and kept at least three years) that did not have one single thing go wrong or break.
Why can't the Germans build a V6 like Nissan's? I like the driving qualities of the 30v V6 and Passat better but man will the '02 Max run circles around the Passat wheezemobile(don't remember my Avant being that pokey with the same engine). Also all GLE Maxs come with 17" wheels and decent Bridgestone performance tires this year. Not too bad for an adjusted ~$27K with every option they offer out the door.
