Default My key fob transmitter battery is dead

for the remote lock and alarm. What battery type do I need? Is this a dealer-only thing or can I walk into a drug store and find what I need?

Thanks!

J

Default You *should* be able to find the batteries (there are 2) at a drug store.

I haven't had success but they are batteries that you should be able to find.

Default I thought mine died too...

Then I tried the other one and it didn't work either. Now I suspect some expensive component in the car.

Default Would a dealer replace it for free under the extended warranty?

Also, once it is replaced, do you have to reprogram it?
