how do i get the changer to work?
do i need to let the radio know its there?
it ejects the magazine and takes it in but it wont select CDC on the face

You should post on here what you find, I know someone else who has the same problem and hasn't had a chance to get it into the dealer.

When I first got my car, the changer didn't work. I select CDC and it would just say "LOAD CD1" then it would say "CD1 TRK01" and not play anything. I would try to switch discs and it wouldn't do anything. Took it to the dealer and turns out it was a dead changer. Replaced the changer and it worked fine.
I don't know what kind of problem you're having, but try switching sources to see if you can get ANY sound out of the system. If it sits on a track and nothing comes out, bad connection. If it sits on a disc and will not change discs, may be a bad changer.

I had the same problem with mine. my dealer ordered a new changer or parts. and plug kept coming out. Question, was your s4 sitting at the boston port for a few weeks?
