My water pump saga is now over. Details for the archives inside
Diagnosis: Clanging from engine near front driver side.
Car: 2000, 37k miles, MTM chip since 36k miles, Fastgaro since day one.
Problem: Water pump shot
Solution: Replaced water pump
While we had the car ripped apart: new timing belt, roller, tensioner roller, thermostat, accessory belt, new pass valve hose, pressure tested cooling system after new w.p.-no leaks found, new clamps on cooler hose, blow out cooler hoses.
The damage: $1247.62 Thats $720-labor, $482-parts, + tax.
The aftermath: 25 degree weather + rejuvinated (sp?) car = happy me!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1478329.phtml">Original postshizle</a></li></ul>
