Over the last 15 months, I have had the following problem 3 or 4 different times. I will be driving along on the highway at high speeds, and all of a sudden, I have no ability to accelerate or increase RPM's. The car will slow down if I hit the brake, but no ability to increase speed. Once I stop the car, turn it off and re-start, it is back to normal. My Audi dealer was initially puzzled by this, but after the 2nd time it happened and they serviced again, thought they had fixed the problem. It just happened again, and my dealer is clueless as to a solution. Anyone have a similar experience, and if so, what was the fix?

had the same symptoms... i was clueless to what was going on when it happened to me as well... until one day, the engine kept shutting down while on the highway... each time i would pull over and restart... finally the car died and did not start at all. dealer replaced fuel pump and now it's fine.
