NE1 read the octane article in this months EC?
Basically, says that "homebrew" octane boost (ie toluene, mineral spirits, and tranny fluid) not worth the effort due to increased specific gravity. Small amounts of tolene, probably some benefit. But increasing amounts were detrimental and damaged emission control equipment.
