Default Need help with my fog lights please

First thing, I did a search and found nothing, thats why I think I may have a problem. Why is it that everytime I turn off the car with the fog lights on, I have to press the button again everytime i get back in it? This is really annoying. After doing some looking around, I discovered a lot of the A6 guys were doing a fuse jumper trick to make them come on automatically with the parking or head lights. This would be great, only it didnt work with my car, and I am sure I did it properly as shown. Any comments?

Default our cars have a fog control module, the A6 trick wont work.

doing what you say is basically impossible unless you do some wiring acrobatics with relays and such.

btw, its illegal in most european countries to drive with fog lights on in no fog conditions.

Thanks for the quick reply. So, the A6 trick wont work, but you didnt really say if the S4 was designed like that? I really need to hit the button every time I want them on? Older audis werent like that. My porsche isnt like that, nor my bmw. So I know its not a german thing. If this is true, I will look into rewiring them. It is almost Tbelt time, so I will have the front end off anyways.

Default the A4 and S4 and every new-er audi is like that.

the fog control module takes a momentary signal from the button and "decides" whether to put the fogs on. it does not work like a light switch.

see the audiworld tech articles on "fog mods" for some more insight.
