Default NEED HELP QUICK PLEASE !!!! SOMEBODY.. ANYBODY.. !!!
Dropped of my car at the dealer.. yesterday for some noise that was coming.. its like a loose muffler rattling sound.. when i am around 1500 rpm.. and in second. and if i give it gas.. something rattles.. like a hyndai.. .. with a broken exhaust.. he tells me he cant hear it.. but i know it comes .. i am not crazy.. i told him that either its my heat shield.. on my cat.. or some other thing is just loose.. that at higher.. gears.. in lower rpms.. it makes that sound all the time.. going to pick it up.. need help soon ... please.. thanks in advance..

Default Can it be the heat shield?
I have had to have that removed from every car that I have ever owned because of the annoying rattling noise.

Same symptoms as my loose heat shield. Replaced under warranty. Have to pull out engine.

Default You seriously have to pull the engine to access a loose heat shield?
Drop the big one on Audi too if that's the case!

You have to drop the engine for a lot of stupid things in the S4.

Default You DO NOT have to drop the engine, unless the mounts cracked.
I had the heat shields off the turbos last weekend :P
