Need help on rear sun-shade installation , re C-pillar plastic cover & air-bag (more) Many thanks.
A while ago several forum members explained the installation with good details but seems no one mentioned about coming across side curtian airbag components behind the plastic covers on the C-pillar through the process. Is the airbag tag just for show or are there indeed folded-up bags in there? I did not get a solid answer from dealer - may be they are told to be negative on anything to do w/airbags..
Please help with your experience as I want to avoid unnecessary disconnecting the battery just for the installation of this shade which I have gotten recently and intend to put it on this week - getting hotter in Calf. now 35C+ .....88)

Be careful...
I ended up having my dealer install it because of that. They ended up pulling up the rear deck to drill the holes and carefully mounted the upper hangers.
On a side note, it appears Audi has seen fit to decomission this part with no replacement. Pretty sad. They say I got the last one in country.
Can you tell me what your part number is?
Thanks,
Alan deJesus

I have had mine for only 2 weeks and the spring that rolls it up when not in use broke!!! I was planning on buying a new one to replace it, but maybe they do not exist anymore!!!
