Default NEED HELP! sweaking window / door frame is driving me nuts.

I've tried everything from dishwashing liquid, silicon spray and a petroleum based spray designed to stop rubber squeaks.

It's coming from the upper part of the door but I don't know if it's the window or the door frame, nor if it's the top or the A pillar.

Have you tried BMW's "gummiflege?" Not sure if they still make it...

Default I've been working on this for months!

I've tried probably half a dozen types of lubricants (silicone spray, 303 rubber/vinyl dressing, motor oil, high temp brake caliper grease, other lubes, etc.) and some of them work for a day or two, but they inevitably dry out the rubber weatherstripping and the squeaks return.

I tried removing the black B-pillar covering on the exterior side and the squeaking/rubbing sound goes away, so I know it's involved. In my case, the sound is coming from the 1 inch rubber material lining the door opening (on the body of the car, to which the door makes contact with) rubbing agaist the black metal B-pillar covering. When I lube it liberally, the sound is almost eliminated, but the lube eventually dries out and the sound returns.

I think I eventually need to buy BMW gummiflege, Door Ease, or Krytox (Audi product) to lube it properly.

One thing that I'll also try using 1/4 inch vinyl tubing (link below) on the door to create a tighter seal, in hopes that there's less rubbing.

As a consulation, I know I'm making some progress. Now I just need to stop my glove box from rattling!

Damn 7 year old car!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2324427.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2324427.phtml</a</li></ul>

Yeah, they still make it. I'll try that soon and see if it works for more than a couple days.
