ok here's the story. I had my windows tinted at the dealership. head to have them redone afew months ago. that day, water must have gotten into the radio becuase it was squealing, popping, etc. was told it would go away.

now when it rains, it get much the same thing.
it seems apparent that I have a leak. could the tinting have caused a leak? where is the amp (if there is one)?

any other ideas/suggestions?

i turn the radio on and get nothing but hum, pops, squeal, etc

The process is simple and does not require removal of any glass in your car or any process that should affect the seal.

just tried it. even when a cd is playing, nothing but loud hum

Same thing happened to me when I got my car tinted. The radio would not play anything. All I heard was popping and static. They thought some soapy water got onto the rear speaker. After drying it out, all was fine again.
