Default Need some suggestions for a good track worthy brake pad for stock caliper and rotors...

I will be attending an all day track and performance driving school soon and need a good brake pad that can withstand a day of abuse, I only plan on using these brake pads for one day so I dont want to spend a ton of money on them...please let me know some suggestions for a decent priced track brake pad, I've heard Pagid oranges are good but a bit pricey...how are the Hawk HP's on ECS' site? Thanks

Default I like Pagid, and I've heard good things on Ferodo, but I don't know if they have offerings...

...for the stock caliper.

If you're going to take it easy, a Pagid 4-4 would work, or if you're going to go hard, Pagid RS14.

Ferodo 3000

I know you can get a Porterfield R4 for the stock caliper, this will do well on track.

Not sure how these would do, but they're not bad on price at less then $200...
Pure-MS.com has some Carbotech for the stock caliper.

Tirerack.com has some Hawk HP Plus for stock caliper.

Default TJ: Shot a bit this weekend without the polarizer or the TC and the images were sharper...

although i'm sure that without the 1.4x tc and shooting at 420mm my less than stellar panning had less impact on focus.

Shot all day on manual, 1/125 @ f/16, manual white balance - Sun, with single point continuous. Man do I love this camera!

now to get more storage/portable storage device and longer lenses.

couple posts on ot
