Default Neuspeed/Borla Exaust update:

OK so I'm **** as crap! Had a clamp on updside-down from my install Friday afternoon and I wasn't really happy with the tip placement so I ripped it all off again Sunday. Changed the clamp, put it all back on piece by piece and "voila" - much better. Ground clearance restoerd and all hangers are "stress-free" with the tips a-l-m-o-s-t perfectly centetred and level(OK so I can't figure out how to get them over another 1/4 to 1/8 of an inch, uugh!).

For some reason it is quieter now. Don't know why - but after the car warms and the idle drops to ~800rpms it is almost as stock - can even hear the engine clattering away again. This exaust is most noticible accelerating from Idle to 2800rpm where it becomes quiet like the stock unit(or the engine noises take over and you can't hear either one). I really like this one now. Liek everyone says - spool up is faster but the butt dyno doesn't register much change in power if any. Still though it is smooth and sweet sounding and improves the sloppy throttle response of our electronic TB(anyone figured out how to change the rising rate on this reostatic POS?).

I have video with sound if interested. Honestly it is so quiet now you cannot hear it over the wind and wind-chimes in the background.

A 5 star rating now. Thanks Eric and SPP. Now if i can just quit worrying about that small difference in the tips(wife thinks I'm crazy).

Put a "small" rubber spacer on the last hanger..works like a charm to "center" the tips.

Default Use some 3/8 hose clamps on the ends of the hangers to keep it where you want it.

And easy way to bend the hangers on the pipe(if you must) is to use a 1/2" drive socket of sufficent size, and a long 1/2 extension.

Leverage is a wonderful thing. Just don't break anything :-)

Default Or depending on how you want to change the angle of the tips (viewing from rear)

If you want the tips to be rotated towards the right, then bend the left rear muffler pin inwards, and the right pin outwards (meaning undo the 90 degree curve of the pin a bit).

Sorry I can't explain any better. Mark at AMS did the install on mine, and that's what he did to straighten it out.
