I flew to Minneapolis MI to pick up the car, which is right by Anderson Motorsports. Not that familiar with them but they helped design the exhaust. It may have had a short produciton run, or limited existance.

The exhaust is quiet though, very mellow, and opens up at WOT. Even in the Avant I get no drowning, just at 2k RPM and below.

I had so much in the 1.8T, and at 51k mi had some work that would need to be done. So I figured it was now or never.

My justification...

At somepoint I would have gone stage III on the A4. And that would have cost 7k said and done. Kit, FMIC, install, Clutch, etc...

So for 1k more than that I picked up an S4 with 1/2 the milage. (essentially a stg III A4) But worth more so I just kind of bought more equity into my car. Instead of throwing it at the A4 and losing the $$$. And it's an S.

The warrantly on the 1.8T was gone, so it wasn't as big of a hump getting mentally over the no warranty thing.

Use to live in Palos Verdes Estates...long long time ago...had a friend in Long Beach..visited there from time to time...nice.
