Default that was my question actuallly, I got this car for just 1 yr now with 70k mil so far all ok

the funny thing is that I look for all the points that everyone say would have problem but so far it's still good. It's other areas that weren't mentioned by everyone (typically wear/tear) that I had to spend the money to fix.

When I 1st got the car I did my search. I don't even know if the dealer will warranty my trubos up to 80k?

I disagree. OCK may help prolong life of k03s.

Default to be honest my confusion is that I thought oil must be at certain temp nway to fully utilize its

property and if it doesn't get to certain temp it's actually not good?

Default True. That is why the OCK has a thermostat plate that opens once it reachs the correct temp and

keeps the oil as close to that temp as it can.

Default I understand that, but what is the optimal setup for the engine? If the oil is designed to work

at 200+ then cooling it down really isn't necessary correct? Unless the aftermarket mods are bring the heat temp up beyond what the oil was orignally designed to operate at, so in this case would it be correct to say that an OCK is necessary depending on the driving condition/environment that calls for it? just curious

Default Right. The OCK is meant to keep the oil in optimal operating range.

So if you fell more comfortable with the 200 rnage get the 200 degree thermo plate. I am running the 180 but I also have alot of HP and live in Vegas so my oil gets hot very easy.
