New town, new dealer, worried about upcoming service.
Just scheduled some relatively major warranty service at the dealer in my new town (both will remain unnamed until it's done, for obvious reasons). I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling after getting off the phone with the service advisor. I'm just not getting a good vibe. I gave very specific symptoms and suggestions based on prior experiences and others who have had the same problem, but my impression is that this is going to be one of those "we'll diagnose it, sir; you're not qualified enough to tell us what's wrong with it" service relationships. Problem is, to get their only master tech, I'm stuck with this service advisor...
There is absolutely no reason why I should have a queasy feeling in my stomach about this. Why are we subjected to this kind of discomfort at this level of automotive ownership?
As an aside, someone mentioned that they use an independent shop that is able to do complete warranty service. Is that even possible? I thought that only dealers were able to get reimbursed for warranty work/parts. If it is possible, I may just go to that shop, because they are highly recommended.

this is completely off topic but...
why is that passenger's arm outside of the nogaro car's window? I meant to ask this before
back on topic, that really blows about the dealership situation. What is your proximity to other dealerships?

that's what i did , and everything went smooth from there on..
when talking to people in person you get a different feeling about them ..

hehe - that's been asked before. That's my instructor's arm.
No idea why he was doing that.
Nearest other dealer is an hour away, but they're supposedly a "hobby" dealership. Nearest quality dealership is 3+ hours away. But believe me - if I get the heebie-jeebies when I go in to drop it off, I'm keeping it and scheduling a roadtrip to the other dealership. We shall see...

Maybe. But none of the locals endorse them, unfortunately. I'm already skeptical.
But it's one of those single-dealer-town scenarios, so you know how that turns out. No competition = no motivation.
