newbie, just bought 00 S4
Hi, just bought this girl, she needed some lovin cuse she's been in bad shape. and this is where i could use you guys's help. she's got leaks everywhere but yet she runs strong. im afraid i might have a boost leak, how should i start the diagnostics on searching these things.

i have receipts and service sheets that said there's a air leak in the system and a solinoid might be out. also i here weird things from my transsmission when i put it into gear, as if its missin fluid. thanks

the transmission is auto, how can i do a boost leak test, its transmission fluid thats leakin out

To do a boost leak you'll need to unhook the accordion hose and hook up a boost leak tester.
These can be made using at home materials. Here's a quick DIY I found on how to make one click HERE
Once you have this made and you have it hooked up to the accordion hose use an air compressor to compress the intake system to 20 psi.
If you have a boost leak the intake system will not hold the pressure and you'll hear the leak.

There's really no way to check for bubbles but you can just flush the system and refill it with the cap off which should get most of the air out.
The slight overheating might be something else like a coolant temp sensor.
