Newbie: Torque limits of S4 drivetrain
I am considering an engine transplant into a B5 S4 wagon - but the setup I am considering may develop as much as 650 or 700 lb-ft of torque. I must retain stock S4 drivetrain components as much as possible, as RS4 or other aftermarket upgrades will quickly send this project out of my price range.
Is this even realistic?
I expect another major problem in merging the transplanted engine's computer into the S4s. Just looking for some honest advice here (including, "that's insane, don't waste your time") before I go any further in getting an S4 donor car...
BTW, the transplant would be a single turbo 3.8L from a Buick (Grand National). I hope to also retain the 200-4R transmission at all possible (?!)
Thanks for any advice.

ECU / Engine dimensions
ECU question: Well, I hadn't even gotten that far yet. The Buick ECU is not all that complicated, so if there is some chip / mod setup for the Audi ECUs wherein I can configure stuff (not just a few parameters, so I suppose I might spend a lot on it), perhaps I could leave the Buick ECU behind altogether. But while many of these determinations may be made with the Audi aftermarket ECU component mfrs, the Hardware questions must be posed to you guys, since you have the real-world experience. Question is, IF I could resolve the engine management issue, how much torque can the driveline take? I don't want to spend months on the ECU stuff if the parts could never take it.
Engine Dimensions: the Buick V6 isn't as big or heavy (OK, maybe a little heavy) as you might think - height, yeah, OK, I might have to do some hood stuff - but this would not be a street car, so hood, firewall, frame mods are not out of the question.
Again, thanks - great reading on this forum.
