O2 Sensor Questions for the DIY Guys...Are they basically all the same?
I'm wondering what you DIY guys recommend as far as replacements for our O2 sensors...the price varies SO much between the OE from the dealer, the OE from say Shokan & the 'universal' that you terminate yourself! I can solder & I can splice so I wonder if they're all pretty much the same as far as the data accuracy that they feed the ECU? I recently trashed my right sides with oil from a turbo shaft failure and I'd LOVE to save a couple of hundred bucks when it comes in exchange for a little skill and time! TIA!

Much discussion on this. Myself, I went with universal primaries with no problems.
Since around April of this year.
Maybe check the 2.7t forums, too, for more input.
Also, with universals, it is recommended that you do NOT solder them, just splice them.
Hopefully more will chime in with more detailed info than I can give at this moment.

ZOLD-MANS
Can't speak about the universals (sorry) but if you decide to buck up I would go with the Vast-Zoldmans combo, they are real nice and the same or a little cheaper than OEM depending..
