ok any of you S4 guys ever experience this.. i think it is a IC hose that is loose.

description:
under full load in 2nd or 3rd gear (doesn't happen in 1st) just above 4k rpm a different sound happens. the normal rush and turbo sound happens and then it turns more into a wwwwhhhhuuuuuuuwww (not a tee kettle noise), but more of a different air flow noise. i took it into audi and they said my hoses looked good and that they could not recreate the effect (i took out the chip when i went in). Also, i am getting abrupt throttle/boost loss when i let off the gas during this boost range.

- this noise only happens when i am chipped
- at peak boost at around 4k+ rpm
- in mid gears

* i haven't gotten a check engine light from this

...I believe the best way to check it thoroughly is to remove it from the car.

Yep. Check underneath the TBB.

Mine started when I swapped the GIAC ECU for the stock ECU for two days.

Thinking of clearing the ECU tonite with "000".

TBB and BPVs wer fine here too.
