...and about 5 pounds of personal belongings in the car and a full washer fluid tank. Get the gas down to about 1 gallon, remove the personal belongings and drain the washer tank down a bit, and that's an even 3400 lbs.
Notable weight saving mods include AP Racing 4-piston calipers/330mm Coleman rotors, Borla exhaust, Autospeed downpipes, lightweight flywheel and Odyssey battery. Weight gainers include water injection system and bipipe.

Faster than any STG III it's ever come across on the track
And it's been up against many.
Faster than a well driven Elise.
Then again, I've never seen a Stg III run fast as very well built A4 1.8T's.
And according to Randy Pobst, we have the fastest track B5 S4 he's ever driven (street car) here in Chicago in Smurfette's car.
On street tires it runs the same time around GingerMan Raceway as Car and Driver best time in a GT3.
It'd likely be slower on only two tracks I know of. Brainerd and Road America. Might not even be slower as, it's dead even with E46's on the straights and way faster than Stg III and E46's in the twistys.
It'd be faster everywhere else I've been (40+ tracks in America).

My pic from a few years ago
Where'd you get it?
Guy wrecked a virgin E36 that was apparently his wifes.
Went off on a left turn (80mph or so) by understeering wide. Overcorrected, cut back across the track, overcorrected again, got waaaaay sideways for about 200ft at 60mph until the car dug in and rolled HARD and FAST.
He walked away, the car didn't.
