2000 S4, 44,000 miles. I just had the sensor at the bottom of the oil pan replaced. In addition, I am still seeing oil dripping from the transmission fins under the car (assume it works its way back from driving). I had a crankshaft seal replaced almost 2 years ago at 11,000 miles. Does anyone else have any experience with similar oil leaks? Also, did my switching to Mobil 1 0w30 from Pennzoil 5w/30 cause it in the first place?

can cause leakage in oils. did you switch early on or later in your mileage. synthetic is very slippery and can find places to leak in higher mileage cars.

that might be your problem...oil leaking past a crank seal due to wear...good luck
