OK, 750 miles on clock, can I start to wind her out a bit more? (more)

I've managed to be good and basically stay below 4k rpms (a few times to 4500). Will an occasional twist to 5000 or 5500 be that big a deal?
Also, am I the only one that has had a hard time not applying full throttle as per Audi break-in procedures?

you need runs up to 5-5.5k to properly break in the engine. Not longs runs though

I waited until about 800, then I went WOT a few times before 1000, more
You can gradually increase engine rpm's as you add on miles, 1000 isn't just a magic number that you hit and the car is broken in. I think for short periods of time you can open it up, just don't leave the tach high up in the band.
