Default Ok here is one of the videos of me racing the M3 without torque braking...

This is the first run, I DID NOT TORQUE BRAKE OR LAUNCH AT ALL. I just wanted to see how I'd do with just gasing it. He puts about 2 cars on me and I hold the distance pretty well I think. You can be the judge.

Here is a little background info. He is an 05 6spd M3 with the new competition package(no sun roof, no power seats, cloth door pannels I believe, upgraded brakes, suspension, steering ratio), his only aftermarket perf mod is a short shifter. He has raced a 05 SMG with Chip, intake, exhaust,'cross over pipe?' and some other mod but I forgot what it was, anyway he put atleast 3 cars on it when they ran against eachother.

Also, I had just driven 30 miles to get to him to run, and my car had NO down time(oil temp slightly above normal), his car was sitting at Starbucks for over an hour cooling down while waiting for me to meet up with him. The 2:00h warning was actually blinking on my car during some of the runs. I was on 3/4 tank of 92ish, I think he SAID he was on 3/4 tank 91 also.

BTW all my starts were in Tip mode, then I'd just put it into D for the rest of the gears, next time I'm going to do it all in Tip mode and shift a little eariler, I felt as though I was loosing power above 6200rpm.

A loss is a loss

Default I still give you respect for that loss...

It wasn't the much of a difference. I'm sure if you had a 6 speed you would have been right there with him : P... what are your mods... I can read your sig...???

Default only perf mods are:

X chip, Tip chip, APR SRT Catback, Evo intake, 92 octane. And I am in need of an oil change. I appreciate it man.

Default LOL: "My oil temps were slightly above normal". Did you have a boost leak too? :)

Thanks for posting. It's good to see comparisons...even losses. Time for 6spd tranny conversion

Default Like I said I'm not making excuses, just giving a little background 411...

you can tell I didn't torque brake at all in that video. Also, I post 'a loss is a loss'. I think in an even run between us two it would be VERY close to call, whoever won would win by a nose.

Default I'm just playing. I was surprised to hear that this new "sport" M3 takes the SMG M3 by 3 cars.

Good 411.
