Ok, a Stage 2 S4 can indeed take an E46 M3.....
At least up to 100 mph. And I should probably mention it was at 8,200 ft, but it was 43 degrees out.
I was over at my neighbors house finishing off some counter tops for him, when he asked if he could drive my S4. (He is getting one in the next two weeks.) Well, I jokingly said only if I could drive the M3. Five minutes later I was crusing the M3 following my S4 out to some straightaways.
You know, I don't mean to brag, but my S4 is FAST. Granted, I only have about 5 hours behind the wheel of an M3, but I am a capable driver and my neighbor is also relitivly new to the S4.
Ok, on to the good stuff. We got on to the straights and I floored it. I got into the left lane and pulled up beside my S4, but thats as far as I got and I actually lost about a foot up to 100.
We flipped a bitch and lined up on a small straight where I have a quarter mile marked off. Ok, I botched the launch and spun the tires. Good bye S4.
So, we lined up again. This time was better. I got a decent launch and we were dead even all the way through 3rd. When the S4 hit 3rd, he got about 4 feet on me right off. When we reached the quarter mile, I had made up about two feet of it, but I still lost. (should I be happy about this?)
We did a few more runs like this. I won two and he won two and we decided to call it even. On the way home on some sharper corners I would break the rear of the M3 loose. OMG!! HOW COOL IS THAT? Anyway, my neighbor had a HUGE **** eating grin on his face when we got back to his house. "Mine is gonna be faster than yours." he said..... And this is from a 65 year old man.

Don't know. But unless you got time slips on your S, its hard to say. I've heard many E46M3s
running anywhere b/t 13.1 to 13.9 by supposed good drivers.
I doubt your S is faster, but it could be the exception.
