Default sodium is in the metal compound that the valve is composed of. It has a higher heat tolerance and

tends to run cooler.Sodium filled valves aid heat
transfer from the head of the exhaust valve up the stem.

Default sure if you ever get in a bind and the drive through is 4 miles back

you can always bust open a valve to salt your fries.

Default well, I heard quite a few years back about valves

(on exhaust side though) filled inside with metallic sodium. When heated, sodium would become liquid and help disperse heat. I wonder if Audi did the same for intake valves...

Default but the funny thing is, it says INLET valves are sodium cooled

I thought it was only done for exhaust valves...

Default Sodium is used as a coolant in exhaust valves

The exhaust valves are hollow, and filled with sodium.

Sodium is solid at room temp, but liquid at operating temps.
